As a part of the Mikron Machining Solutions business segment of Mikron Group in Switzerland, Mikron Tool develops and produces small and medium-sized high-precision cutting tools for the high-end market, used in the automotive, aviation, watchmaking, electronics, medical and dental industries, etc. Mikron Tool continues to expand globally and gains a foothold in China.
To meet its global strategy in expanding into China, Mikron Tool needed to roll out SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) to its subsidiaries in China for global alignment, requiring great understanding of local regulations in China, communications among different time zones, countries and languages, with a committed deadline within 3 months.
PCCW Solutions implemented SAP ECC solution and assigned experienced SAP consultants to manage different stakeholders across different regions and China local regulations to assist Mikron Tool in project management and deployment in China.
The project was successfully implemented on schedule, within budget, and with great quality, garnering compliments from the client. The SAP ECC deployed by PCCW Solutions effectively supported Mikron Tool overall business operations in China, consolidating all critical data to their global system. In addition, the platform allowed top management to view all business trends all over the world and make data-driven decisions in real time.
