Background

Founded in 1954, Nan Fung Group is one of the largest privately held conglomerates in Hong Kong with global interests in real estate development and investment, hotels, shipping and holds a well-diversified, substantial financial investment portfolio.

Challenges

The Mills is a landmark revitalisation project from Nan Fung Group, transforming three former Nan Fung mill factories into a single coherent complex, comprising a business incubator, experiential retail and non-profit cultural institution. Nan Fung Group needed to provide amenities of a modern building at the Mills while retaining the heritage elements of the former Nan Fung mill factories. It is required to implement comprehensive, high-quality IT and AV solutions within the predefined deployment timeline.

Solutions

PCCW Solutions is designated to design and build the digital signage, AV and IT systems for The Mills, as well as providing Wi-Fi, audio and video system cabling and equipment to revitalise the industrial building for commercial use. The massive digital signage, LED video wall, way-finding kiosk with the 3D way-finder have been deployed.

The Mills transforms and revitalises the former textile factories into a destination where the community can relive Hong Kong’s rich history in the booming manufacturing era, while supporting ongoing community engagement activities, increasing visitor traffic with enriching experiences.
