The client is the locally incorporated restricted licensed bank of a large Chinese bank in Hong Kong. It is one of the leading banking institutions in Shanghai, with a branch network covering many major cities throughout mainland China.
To establish its presence in Hong Kong, the client needed to design and build a new IT system from the ground-up – including back-end infrastructure, network connectivity, and applications management. Setting up a fully functional system to support day-to-day operations and secured banking transactions to comply with mandatory banking regulations would be too big a challenge for their in-house tech team.
With a wealth of experience and wide-ranging services, Lenovo PCCW Solutions (LPS) was engaged to design and build the required IT infrastructure and related value-added services. We were also responsible for managing the major project of IT set up for their office expansion and relocation, acquisition, and provision of all equipment and services, ensuring that the new office location could be open and operational in time for the opening of their Hong Kong branch.
LPS enabled the client to meet the stringent timeline constraints for fully deploying its IT system and office infrastructure, ensuring timely and fully functional IT infrastructure in time for new business operations to begin.
